Classics on the Green - Friston

Thursday evening, 15th July 2011

The rain had stopped before the event started in the late afternoon & the weather remain dry & fresh, making for a pleasant evening. The turnout was good for the 2nd Classics on the Green at Friston in Suffolk. The pub 'Old Chequers' was open for business & had a BBQ & Hog roast outside, the village ladies served tea, coffee, cakes & scones in the village hall. The event was free to enter & to visit, but donations were welcome as the event was in aid of raising money for Friston church.

Photographs - Top left - View from the classic bikes accross the Village green. Top right - A nice pair of Triumphs. Bottom left - (left to right) Richard & his Panther Model 40 250cc, Dave & his Levis 500cc Model D Special, & Justin! Bottom right - The first Black lightning to leave the factory - a rare 'bird' indeed, with the proud owner!

With grateful thanks to the organisers & lets hope lots of money was raised for the village church.

LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT YEAR!
